“Killing his own people”

Posted: March 23, 2011 in Uncategorized

I don’t know, maybe I’m weird, but I heard that statement so many times, with reference to Kadafi, on the news in the last week, it’s beginning to sound full of irony and rediculousness to me. ‘We will bomb his country to stop him from killing his own people’, that’s the message. I fully agree he should not harm anyone in anyway-ever. However, I’m having trouble with the logic  “well, like.. its ok to kill/attack/devastate populations from other countries just don’t pass that imaginary line. Strange that war is ‘acceptable’ to human beings BUT it is not acceptable to declare war on human beings within your own boarders. Aren’t people still just people outside your boarders?  Are they not considered sacred just because they pass some human made boundary!?  Are we all not flesh and blood?

A little common sense could go a long way here to, at least, begin looking at the situation in self honesty. It’s not getting better, we are not evolving, we still slaughter one another. Period. It’s sad.
